On Monday, 05 June 2023, I was granted an audience with Mr Albin Lazare, Head of Mission at the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF), who was in Dschang for preparatory discussions on the Inclusive Sanitation in Cities programme run by the AIMF and supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The Municipality of Dschang and Sycome are the beneficiaries of this new programme, which comes as phase 2 of the Urban Health and Safety Initiative (ISSV).
Also discussed was the EcoSaMe (Circular Economy and Health in Menoua) project, and more specifically, the detailed preliminary design studies for the Dschang sewage sludge treatment plant.
EcoSaMe is a project currently being implemented, co-financed by the AIMF, Nantes Métropole, the Loire Bretagne Water Agency, the Dschang Council and Sycome, with the aim of contributing to sustainable sanitation in the Menoua division.
