On Wednesday 29 January 2025, the Dschang Council is pleased to announce the resumption of work to reopen the new bypass between Dschang and Santchou, particularly on the section between Fondonera and Nteingue. This morning, the arrival on the scene of the bulldozer supported by the loader and grader of the Dschang Council marks a crucial stage in the efforts to rehabilitate this essential new road.
This new road has been planned and implemented to offer users a safe and functional alternative.
We would also like to point out that the reprofiling between the Litieu crossroads (plantain market) and Fossong Wentcheng, as well as that between the Kemtsop bridge, Fotsetsa, Fongo Ndeng and Fossong Wentcheng as far as the entrance to Fondonera, has already been completed. This initial work was made possible by participatory development, an alternative method of financing used by the Dschang Council to carry out its community development work. This preparatory work has made it possible to improve safety and ease traffic flow on these sections.
The work in progress consists of clearing debris, making the area safe and preparing the road for the safe resumption of traffic. The technical teams are working tirelessly to overcome these challenges and ensure the safety of users.
