The long-awaited final of the veteran “Foto” championship lived up to all its promises on Saturday 29 June 2024 at the Cenajes stadium in Dschang. In the presence of the Lord Mayor of the Dschang Council, Jacquis Gabriel Kemleu, His Majesty the King of the Foto people, MOMO Soffack the 1st, numerous guests and football fans, the “Keleng” team brilliantly defeated their opponents, the “Lap Ngatsi” team, with a clear score of 4 goals to 0.
The Lord Mayor of the Dschang Council, who was personally present at the event, welcomed the initiative, which is in line with the council’s cultural and sports policy. His substantial support greatly contributed to the success of this sports day. He also made the ambulance available to ensure the safety of participants and spectators.
Taking advantage of the occasion, the Lord Mayor also announced the progress of construction work on the Dschang Sports Complex, news that was greeted with enthusiasm by the local sporting community.
The huge turnout of football fans was a real success, and everyone is already looking forward to next season. This final will be remembered as a historic moment for the “Foto” championship.
