At a solemn ceremony held on 13 January 2025 in the Civil Status Room of the Town Hall, the Lord Mayor of Dschang, Jacquis Kemleu, presented minimum packages to the headmasters and headmistresses of the Council’s seventy-six public primary schools. This initiative aims to strengthen education in the Dschang Council and guarantee quality education for all pupils.

Among the beneficiaries, the heads of the schools in Nteingue, located in the Foreke-Dschang Groupement, received special recognition. This recognition underlines the importance of Nteingue within the Dschang Subdivision, and the important place it occupies in the community.

During the ceremony, Lord Mayor Jacquis Kemleu, as standard-bearer for the mandate of challenges, stressed the importance of promoting inclusive, quality education. He pointed out that this vision is in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4, which aims to ensure access to quality education for all and to promote lifelong learning opportunities.

The district inspector for basic education also praised the efforts of the Municipal Executive to improve educational conditions in the Dschang Council. The school headmasters left the Council’s esplanade with a smile on their faces, reassured by the readiness and willingness of the Lord Mayor and the Executive to continue working for the well-being of its citizens.

This ceremony marks an important stage in the promotion of inclusive, quality education, one of the most important areas of municipal action in the current term of office.
