The Dschang Council was proudly represented on Thursday, 30 January 2025 by its Lord Mayor, Mr Jacquis Gabriel KEMLEU TCHABGOU, at a high-level meeting on territorial governance and decentralisation, held at the Territorial Engineering Campus of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Territorial Governance and Decentralisation.

Mr Kemleu was delighted to take part in this event, organised at the invitation of Mr Henri Severin ASSEMBE, an expert in decentralisation. The meeting was marked by inspiring and in-depth discussions on topical issues crucial to the development of local and regional authorities in Cameroon.

Topics covered included

– Smart Cities: an in-depth look at the future of our cities through the integration of intelligent technologies.

– Interconnected Cities: The need for interconnection to ensure harmonious and sustainable development.

– Territorialised Entrepreneurship: The importance of promoting local initiative to boost the economy.

Mr Kemleu expressed his gratitude to Mr Henri Severin ASSEMBE for this enriching invitation. He stressed the importance of the innovative exchanges and exciting prospects that have emerged from this meeting, exchanges that will contribute to the growth and modernisation of decentralised local authorities, including that of Dschang.

This initiative is part of the vision of the Dschang Council to become a model of territorial development and innovation in Cameroon.
