The town of Dschang is on the move and is getting a new lease of life in terms of urban development. On Thursday 13 June 2024, under the impetus of the town’s mayor, Jacquis Gabriel Kemleu, the work of cleaning out the gutters was officially launched. This first stage, which began at the centre nursery school, marks the start of a series of actions aimed at strengthening our town’s infrastructure.
The initiative will gradually extend to the sports delegation, via the SAR SM and the basic education inspectorate, demonstrating the municipality’s desire to touch on various aspects of community life.
This project is remarkable for its collaborative nature, closely involving the Dschang Council and the people living along the banks of the stream. This synergy of actions reflects a united community committed to the common good.
Lord Mayor Kemleu proudly pointed out that this operation is part of the participatory budget, a democratic process that enables citizens to play an active role in managing and improving their environment.
The completion of this work is a further step towards the realisation of our shared ambitions,’ hammered the standard-bearer of this mandate of challenges. It’s a call to stay mobilised and work together for the success of our city. He also invited the population to follow the progress of these works and to participate actively in the life of the city.
Together, let’s make Dschang a model of participatory and sustainable development.
