On the afternoon of Monday 13 January 2025, the headmasters and headmistresses of seventy-six public primary schools in the Dschang Council received a large amount of teaching materials as a minimum package for the 2024-2025 school year.

Lord Mayor Jacquis Kemleu fulfilled a moral duty towards education by making these important teaching aids available to the heads of these establishments, which will support teaching and facilitate the transmission of knowledge to the very young.

The ceremony, which took place in the Civil Status Room at the Town Hall, was attended by the lucky recipients, the Municipal Councillors and the Deputy Mayors, who handed over the equipment in the presence of the District Inspector for Basic Education. In his opening remarks, the Inspector spoke on behalf of the school heads, urging the Lord Mayor to listen more carefully to the needs of the primary schools in his Council. He also praised the work done so far by the Municipal Executive to improve education in the Dschang Council.

Lord Mayor Jacquis Kemleu took the floor and urged the directors to take greater responsibility for the rational management of this equipment.

He also reassured them of his availability and of the willingness of the Executive of which he is the embodiment to always work for the smooth running of actions aimed at improving the conditions of education, access to education and the well-being of the citizens of his Council.

The school headmasters left the esplanade of the Dschang Council with smiles on their faces, and some with cheeks brimming with joy.
